The Florida 2 Goldback embodies the virtue of "Fortitudo," which translates to "Fortitude" in Latin. It honors the resilience and strength of the Seminole people. Created in collaboration with the Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, the design highlights the Seminole Tribe’s legacy of unity, resistance during the Seminole Wars, and cultural and economic success. It depicts a Seminole woman standing in a traditional dugout canoe within the Everglades, symbolizing balance and purpose. Surrounded by vibrant Everglades wildlife and illuminated by the radiant Florida sun, it celebrates the Tribe's deep connection to nature, cultural preservation, and leadership in conservation. It is inscribed with the note’s denomination beside the words “FLORIDA GOLDBACK” on top, while weight and metal content are at the bottom.
