This private mint from south-eastern Switzerland, in Balerna, has been in operation for over 60 years, providing the world with the best in bullion products. They not only refine and mint their products but also offer assay, transportation, and storage services. Valcambi is owned by the Global Gold Refineries Ltd, which, in turn, is part of the Rajesh Exports Limited. Although Valcambi offers some cast bar products, these beautifully designed 1-gram gold bars are actually minted. The revolving square, the Valcambi logo, engraves and enriches the obverse with its refinement. Along with the symbol, we see the metal content, weight, and purity. The engravings read “1 g fine gold 999,9”. Below is the assayer’s mark, which guarantees this gold bullion bar’s authenticity and fine quality. Finally, at the bottom, is the unique serial number, containing six numbers and two letters. The reverse features the name of the company, the words Valcambi Suisse, in a subtle, yet elegant signature.
